Allison, Slutsky & Kennedy, P.C. is a law firm established on January 1, 1995. The firm now includes five principals and two associates. We practice in the areas of union-side labor law; pension and employee benefits law; individual employment law; the representation of voluntary associations and non-profit organizations; the representation of small businesses; and general civil trial and appellate litigation, administrative law, and alternative dispute resolution.

The members of the firm are also dedicated to the use of law for social good. The bulk of the firmís practice is dedicated to the service of trade unions, the benefit funds they help to create, and the workers that they represent. Each of the firm's lawyers has chosen this practice out of a desire to use the law as a force for positive social good, and attempts to apply that goal in his or her practice. As a central part of our practice, we try to be sensitive to how a specific matter relates to the client's larger institutional or personal interests, so that the client receives the legal service which best serves those interests. Each of the firm's lawyers is active in professional associations dedicated to the improvement of the legal profession, and in outside organizations and activities dedicated to the improvement of the larger community.

The firm's lawyers were trained at leading national law schools, and have wide experience in counseling unions and associations, employee benefit plans, individuals and small businesses; in the drafting of contracts, employee benefit plans, articles of incorporation and bylaws for associations and corporations, and other documents; and in representing clients in litigated matters at the trial and appellate level in the federal and state courts, before a wide variety of federal and state administrative agencies, and in "alternate dispute resolution" proceedings such as mediation and arbitration.
